SPBT is one of my favorite bands and it's been over 20 years since I've seen them play. From the clips I've seen, Noah seems to slot right into the band, which isn't too surprising,

Just watched the Freaks in Love documentary about Alice Donut. I never realized how big of a part of their sound Ted Houghton was before he left. Almost no mention of him in the documentary seemed odd as well. Must have been some serious bad blood. I've never seen them live, so am pretty excited to rectify that, despite Ted's unfortunate absence.

At 52 with a full time job and an 11 year old kid, I just don't have much interest in seeing too many more concerts. This one though, I am very excited for.

If they don't do the same in LA (and it'd be dumb not to, it would sell out, easy) I'll have to head up to SF for that.

As for a Thunderdome, I think SPBT would take it, and that's who I'd vote for. AD had some really good stuff though.

Who I'd rather see live. Tough one, having seen neither. Abstain.

As a 53yo, I appreciate a "grandpa show," which this one qualifies as. You'll be out of there by 11.

I saw Steel Pole Bath Tub last year in LA. I started listening to them in 2013 and never thought I’d get the chance to ever see them. So happy that I got to and they were pulverizing live. Great setlist, could’ve used more tunes from ‘Scars from Falling Down’, but oh well. Go see them while you still can. Oh, also one of the LOUDEST sets I’ve ever witnessed in my many years of heavy music show-going, bring the ear plugs.

For some reason I never got into AD. Since then I have listened to a few of their albums and dig them.
Basically the same thing with me (I also saw both Portland shows). When they started their set with Lime-Away at the Aladdin I lost my shit.
