I cannot express how much I hated every minute of this film.
It started out looking the right way but quickly dissolved into total bullshit of the highest order.
Nah fuck that, it was wayyyy better than Prometheus, and somewhat better than Covenant too. Yes it had some annoying Hollywoodisms (like the English guy being a total prick, why is that? Whenever there's one English character they're always a twat) but I think the story and the action were pretty good. It did feel a little like Rogue One or some other Star Wars spinoff, but I dug it, especially the relationship between the main character and the android.

I thought it turned hot garbage about 20 min in but yeah, not hard to be better than Prometheus, that movie bummed me out. Never saw the one with Danny McBride because it has Danny McBride in it. I've never seen the one with Wynona Ryder all the way through. I get to the basketball part and have to turn it off. Fucking Space Jams.

I love Alien: Resurrection. I have a theory that there is intentional sexual tension between Ripley 8 and Ryder's android character who symbolizes an advanced vibrator. The hybrid xenomorph is absolutely disgusting and horrific, and I love it. It's so much gnarlier than all the bullshit xenos that show up in Prometheus and Covenant. And Resurrection gave us the absolute classic "kill... me..." scene with the other Ripley clones. The scene where the 3 captive xenos figure out how to escape their containment is also great moviemaking. So much better than Space Jam!

you make some solid arguments. All the monsters in Prometheus look like Pokemon, and the Architects all look like they really need to take a crap.

Don’t worry somebody did it for you. viewtopic.php?t=71105 I had left a pretty scathing review there, rating it below AVP2.

Alien - Earth… watched ep 1 against my better judgement. Jesus wept - an Oscar nomination for lazy film making. Irritated the shit out of me - made even worse by the Disney ties in of old movies… total shite - will not be returning for ep 2 - no matter how appealing those face huggers look

No. It was a cover by the music director. Evidently to chill it out a bit.

The show is fine, but has a bunch of major issues.

Cosigned because that's some for real shit you posted, though I feel it's getting better.
