He was in an episode of Reservation Dogs as one of the surliest characters he's ever done. RIP.
I loved Red Green. He was great as "explosives expert" Edgar Montrose.
I'd rather be throwing darts.

Bruce Lose was by far the most "musical" member of the prime early Flipper lineup, and his grinding bass riffs ("The Wheel," "Sex Bomb," "Shine," "Shed No Tears," "Get Away") have been stuck in my head ever since I first heard them in the '80s. I taught myself to play all of them at one point or another. His snotty vocals and stage presence also radiated much negative charisma, all bummer putdowns of the audience mixed w/hilariously self-effacing jabs ("Am I Billy Idol yet?"). Priceless. He took the microphone for at least as many classics as Will did ("Life Is Cheap," "Way of the World," "You Nought Me," "Ha Ha Ha").

I have minimal use for Flipper after Will Shatter died, but the reunion shows to "save" CBGB in 2005 were oddly compelling, w/Bruce thin and shirtless, hooked up to some kind of heart monitor or muscle stimulator, smoking (I think!?), and waving a metal cane around while seeming bitter as hell. A gig the following year in Brooklyn was surprisingly great as well. Major dedication, not to mention pure punk rock in terms of taking an ugly, tragic situation, turning it on its ass, and making it look cool as hell.
