i didn't "use" anybody. i commented on how vulnerable kids in my neighborhood act oblivious. i don't know what that has to do with race.

I mod a forum where we had a user like this. I HATE banning people, avoid it at all costs. He would lay low, poke his head around the main subjects of the forum, then bomb the place with hyper divisive political shit (interestingly, he also used mostly lowercase in his posts).

I let the community handle it for a while, but the arguments eventually became circular he started drowning out the rest of the signal with his noise (it's a smaller place than this), so I sent him to timeout for a week, and when he came back with a promise not to fuck up, he eventually got all twisted up about someone posting a silly joke about porn (another of his many pet peeves) so he just spammed the shit out of the place with anti abortion, pro Sarah Palin garbage, and I had to boot him for good.

SNR is the measure for me.

I had met this person in real life also - more than once. Had meals with him. He was super xian, but whatever, that doesn't bother me, he was a normal guy in real life, and a practicing lawyer. But fuck if that guy did not know how to accept an opinion he didn't understand.

Banning people is stupid. If this community can't accept difference in perspective, than this is not a community and never was.
