Barf.
Oh noo… I’ve been doing that with squirrels in my chimney all year. It’s worth it to avoid millions of flies for weeks. I invested in a grabber for this, it really helps. And an N95 with toothpaste inside. Because I’m delicate.

I’ve erupted in medieval boils on my hands because I have hand foot and mouth disease, which I erroneously believed was only for cattle. AI told me my fingernails will fall off in a few weeks. I’m extremely contagious, but I visited Trader Joe’s yesterday before I connected the dots in my mind and on my palms. Wipe down your basket handles, everyone.

Yikes. I don't recall if I told the story of recording at EA and an engineer getting that mid session. He had to leave abruptly of course, maybe 4pm or so, so I went to Mariano's, bought some sanitary wipes, and went over every touchable surface of Studio B I could think of. I don't believe anyone else caught it.

Steve referred to it as hand foot mouth ass cock front bum, and then had to explain front bum to us.

I could hear coming from outside something that sounded very similar (not exactly) to the synth intro to Manuel Göttsching's E2-E4. I went outside to look and one of those really boxes FedEx electric trucks was parked across my street, it was coming from that. But I don't think it was the radio inside, I think it was the programmed electric sound the truck made while "idling." [Do Electric Cars Idle?]

We drove out to Plano, IL, yesterday to buy a 1928 Victrola Consolette. The guy who sells (and repairs) them—Ron—has thousands of machines spread across multiple buildings. In his back yard, there are a pair of two-story buildings that are each the width of a three- or four-car garage. I’d been there before but had only seen one floor of one building. This time, we saw two floors of one of them, plus two of seven (!) storage lockers he rents. All spaces are jam packed with antique phonographs and cylinder players and even music boxes. You can barely squeeze between the machines. On the upper floor, there were tabletop machines stacked five or six high.

Inside his home was more of the same, plus piles of cranks and reproducers and other stuff.

It was very, very cool. On the drive home, my wife and I wondered how many Rons there were in the US? Is there a Ron in Oregon or Arizona or New Hampshire with several buildings full of vintage phonographs?

And what other kinds of Ron are there? Is there another home in Illinois jam-packed with antique clocks or sewing machines or typewriters?

Sorry, it is my all-time favorite fast-food item.
God I used to devour those, even though I realize it's a burrito entirely consisting of condiments.

I'm not gonna go out of my way for one but would eat one for nostalgia sake. Modern taco bell creations are abominations.
