Love me some harmonica. Just any kind of stripped down blues sounds great. It's on like all the Muddy Waters records...Mannish Boy, the whole thing is like a fuzz harmonica riff. This guy lets it rip (1:25)

Also Canned Heat's lift of Henry Thomas's Goin Up the Country as "On The Road Again" is great but I like the pan flute in the original.

There are also the wonderful melodic uses in so many great country music recordings.

I much prefer a harmonica to a Saxophone...

I have mixed feelings. I love a dirty sounding blues harp. I love it when Ozzy plays it in “The Wizard”. I love having a pocket instrument. I don’t love overplaying Blues Traveler-type stuff.

Not crap with a heap of waffles
DIRECT HIT HERE. First song I thought of was "The Wizard" and the second was that Talk Talk one from Spirit of Eden. Not crap there.

As super cool dude Eric Clapton said, "IT'S IN THE WAY THAT YOU USE IT!"
