Origin Effects just released a new bass emulation pedal based on the Ampeg B-15. Love the SVT and Bassman pedals, definitely curious to check this out, and glad they made it so you can turn the cab sim off when using the DI XLR out.

sounds good. Missing some of the 600- 900Hzish bite/breakup of a B15, or at least everyone I've played. My SB12 does it too. It kinda sounds like what happens if you try to use an EQ on a Di to approximate a B15. Those cabs do a lot of the lifting of the tone of those amps. Still, it sounds "good" and close enough for a stage situation.

I paid $1100 for my SB12 which was probably too much, but it sounds great for bass at low volume and fantastic for guitar at any volume. There is another here in town for the same price and it has my Stupid Stereo Rig desires flashing... but that would be silly. I had a B15n 30 years ago and lost it in a breakup (it was "our" amp). I miss the amp. That pedal sounds fine, but I feel like the Tech 21 Ampeg VT pedal gets you pretty close for a lot less.

Seems a little late to the game. There is like zero percent chance that reverb doesn't sound terrible right? Comparable to the Orange Pedal Platform, same-ish price I think too. If I could get the 100 watt amp section with no tone control, just master volume, in a 1590B/BB sized enclosure, I'd be interested.

Yeah and with nothing apparently special about it other than "a Full 100 Watts" it all feels like an afterthought. Like, you're the kooky brand, do something kooky! Put one of your classic effects in there, or better yet three of them. Make the effects expression pedal-controllable or something. Do literally anything that would make this unique and Mike Matthews-y.
