Re: Signs You’ve Reached (or Are Now Reaching) Old Age

I’ve become a lot more pragmatic and dry in my political views. I was very much on the radical left from late teens into my 30s.

I’ve spoken about it here a bunch but I’m a lot more interested in big bucket policies that help big intersectional communities than fighting on the margins of single issues.

I’m also much softer and more interested in things I actively disliked when I was younger, like silly social traditions, old buildings and even aesthetic trappings of European Christianity. I have zero time for the bullshit evangelical commercial Christianity of the US and Brazilian Pentecostal cult.

FOLKS. BUY A TRIMMER. I bought this one for like $20 years ago. Still going!

Eyebrows are starting to get out of control, too. Had one pop up out of my forehead a solid 1/4” above where it should be. And I trim.

Soon I will need to cave and get huge, blocky, hipster glasses like all my older pals. I will join you all soon.
Right there with FM DrAwkward - I am resisting bifocals like crazy, but my little depth-window of clarity is getting smaller every day….

You don't need big frames. Try progressives--they work fine on smaller lenses, though some people evidently are irritated by them. i love 'em.
