I'm not curious at all to hear this band or know anything about them, but I was intrigued that this thread grew to 15 pages so fast and decided to read it to find out why.

Having read all of it, I still couldn't find the answer.

Not assuming I know everyone's ethnicity here, but I think it's funny when white people damn something they don't like as "white people stuff". I always appreciate a critique of whiteness but it seems a little myopic to apply it exclusively to your least favorite indie rock bands.
