No me neither.
Hahahahahahahahah!
I saw it in the theater and remember absolutely nothing about it. I had a friend that was super into this OST for a summer. I generally hate whenever there is a Rap/Rock Mega Band crossover. it sucks almost every single time. The closest it ever came to not being a catastrophe is Bring The Noise and Channel Zero because that record fucking rules. The Sonic Youth one is kinda cool because Kim Gordon mixes well with dope beats... but then here comes fucking Cyprus Hill with a bunch of jester hat and graffix bong 90's 8th grader weed rap. No thank you. Whatever Motel those guys lived in has the grossest carpet of all time and it transcends into their music. This came out right at the cusp of the uglyification of music/media, with the rise of Kid Rock, NuMetal, ICP, availability of cheap colored contacts at Spencers Gifts, and the dawn of Fox News. This Soundtrack was some kind of warning but I was too dumb to read the signs.

On the whole . . . Misjudgment Night, musically speaking, though par for the course for the major label nineties. A lot of bands with some kind of clout would throw things at the wall then. These efforts were usually well recorded, afforded a good push, and not widely frowned upon.

But even then, to people like my friends and I who were young "MTV Generation pieces of shit," there was something amusing about recordings like these. You could look at a fair amount of current music through a similar "destined to be dated" prism, but it'll probably be less fun to revisit and have a laugh at.

I saw this movie in the theater opening weekend.
ZzzZzzZzzz . . .

New Novel.

Saw the movie...maybe in the theater...don't remember. Terrible, but I remember every time friends and I drove to Chicago (where the movie is based), we would imagine we were going to take a wrong turn and wind up being shot at by Denis Leary.

The record is mostly awful, but as far a rock/rap hybrid, this must be the pinnacle, I imagine. I mean that Metallica/Ja Rule track somebody already posted or the Puff Daddy/Led Zeppelin that followed certainly did not make inroads to making this tolerable, right?

The companion piece to the Judgement Night CD is the Spawn soundtrack which was the same thing but rock vs electronic (Marylin Manson + Sneaker Pimps or Slayer + Atari Teenage Riot anyone?).

These two records basically destroyed music.

Just dropping by here to reminisce about the Biohazard fans in my high school being world-class dumbasses.

Like if the American equivalent of an Oi! fan had a baby w/a guido (Long Island variety). Born wearing a hockey jersey or something. In Philly.

For some reason, I'm thinking it would have been pretty hilarious if Type O Negative were to have been on this soundtrack. Maybe in collaboration w/ICP. Or Kool Keith, if we wanna get classy about it. Now there's a PRF challenge...

Type O's tongues were planted firmly in their cheeks and they're known for their out-of-pocket covers (Summer Breeze, Cinnamon Girl, Pictures of Matchstick Men), they would've totally done a pisstake collaboration with some horrorcore goofballs and played it as straight as a heart attack.

Fun fact: Biohazard started out as Carnivore wannabes. Peter Steele arranged the session for their demo as a favor.
Coin flip...

The soundtrack in question actually came out after there was a video for "Black No.1(Little Miss Scare All).

Obviously, it was all finished earlier but Type-O were sure out there by the time it was released.
