Pretty cool thing to add to a Delay time circuit. 2 Knobs, set 2 speeds and ramp between them with all the wurley madness in between.Dr Tony Balls wrote: Tue Mar 24, 2026 8:35 amIf *I* remember i've done that ramp trick on something similar before but it has been AGES. 462Kinda related question, is their a DAW plug-in that replicates the sound of when you engage a track on a tape machine but there is already sound happening so there's that brief high pitched bleet as the tape gets to speed? I'm sure there is but I haven't actually looked for it, but it's one thing I kinda miss about tape machines (even a four-track).Kniferide wrote: Tue Mar 24, 2026 3:10 pmPretty cool thing to add to a Delay time circuit. 2 Knobs, set 2 speeds and ramp between them with all the wurley madness in between.Dr Tony Balls wrote: Tue Mar 24, 2026 8:35 amIf *I* remember i've done that ramp trick on something similar before but it has been AGES. I've seen a few more but this is the only one I have used.

464The ramp up/slow down thing sounds cool… the Yamaha Reface organ does it but the leslie effect itself is so goofy sounding I leave it off. I bet any half decent effect would be better.
Same with the Reface electric piano - ran through an amp and effects you can get chills but the onboard effects are only novelty.

465Alright I kind of buried this with some political chatter (there's politics in everything), but I may have answered my own question. Sharing a possibility in case anyone's curious or can vouch:losthighway wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2026 8:49 am What are some of your favorite reverb pedals?
I had an old (large enclosure) Holy Grail that I loved. After it was stolen I got the more available Nano version and found that with the dial set below noon it was a little too subtle/not palpable on louder parts. At or above noon it seemed to swallow the attack of the guitar too much. I couldn't get enough of a sharp stab of guitar followed by a clear halo iykwim.
Now I have a Red Panda Context. It's more versatile but I have the 1.0 version and the rotary dial is way to easy to bump, it's actually gotten looser over the years. I also think the 80s inspired digital grain of it is cool but not exactly my style.
I want something more analog sounding that can run a good gamut from spank to cloud with maybe some subtle saturation bloom blended in depending on how it’s being hit.
I like that it can do tasteful and subtle, but it can be insane. I'll probably need something closer to the former, but take advantage of the latter when recording.

466I have and enjoy:
Boss RV-6
EQD ghost echo
Pladask Draume
RV-6 hangs out w my little drone synth in my office, the eqd gets used a lot for recording, and the draume is on my actual pedalboard.

467The expensive Neo Ventilator Ii arrived dead as hell and looking online to troubleshoot it seems like there is a high failure rate with these… I have a replacement coming but I’m thinking it would be best to avoid.llllllllllllllllllll wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2026 1:28 pm
I got a used Neo Rotary thing with a return policy, so we’ll see!

468I am looking for a different p90 to put in my lpj. Any suggestions? I do not particularly care about hum cancelling or anything like that, just something that sounds good and has some decent output.
Re: Recommend me a...
469If I didn't have anything super specific I was after, I'd probably go with whatever Artec is available in the right size and makeup.

470Fralin P90s rule. I've heard stock Lollar P90s in a few guitar and those also sound great.
