I have a genesis emulator to play mortal kombat with. yes, it is a total mark of loserdom/immaturity/childhood regression...but hey, if I need to relax after a long day, it's fun to rip people's hearts out and punch their heads off, while blood squirts everywhere like a broken firehose.

That game was seriously groundbreaking when it came out in 1984.
One of the things I remember best, aside from how fricken crazy it was if you let the enemy complete the battleship and actually went up against it in a fight, was that it was on one 5.25" floppy disk, and to load the program took what seemed like about 5 minutes, maybe more. It basically took forever. Today, a cameraphone can take a picture (that holds more data than that entire program) and email it anywhere in the world in about 10 seconds. So much has changed in a little over 20 years.
One thing that hasn't changed is that this game is still fun as hell to play, for me at least.
Now if I could only get a Bard's Tale (Apple IIgs version), Autoduel (Apple II version) or Eternal Dagger (C64 version) emulation working on my phone... holy shit would that be destructive to my life.

Ever play A Boy and his Blob?
That was a great platformer/puzzle game.

I've got the three newest Castlevania releases for the GameBoy (two are for the DS, one from the Advance which fortunately works in the DS) so I've already got my Castlevania fix anytime I need it. Goddamn have they got better and better at making the games in that series. At least with the 3 newest, it's just gotten better with each successive version.
I've got the whole internet (except javascript and newer flash stuff) on my phone and a GameBoy DS, so hell if I need any games.
Although Kyle's Quest was fucking fun as shit for my old Palm OS-based phone. There were some really cool adventures that people designed for that program.

Scott! There is a new DS Castlevania game due out before the end of the year. It looks great and I'm excited about it!
