192Mentioning this in case it helps with the struggle. My wife endured a long job search last year that was made considerably easier by joining a Never Search Alone job search council. It helped with getting her prepared to apply, to interview, and most of all, to have a place to blow off steam with people in similar situations.

Anyway, looks like the positions are gone now. Frick. I'd certainly entertain becoming an associate professor for robotics, particularly if it involved a move to Australia. Might not have the right education for the position though (don't you typically need a postgraduate degree for these things?).

But yes - a PhD (or one that is very close to completion) is assumed. This might be waved in extraordinary circumstances, such as industry experience and/or teaching expertise.
