One dirty hippie noodled on a cheap guitar and the other one fumbled with a tape recorder. The manager couldn't believe it. I mean, we both have worked for and had seen countless shit-acts over the years but this was taking the cake. It was worse than The Swans. They must have just both shot up, they were just out of it. It went on for about an hour, most of the room emptied early on.

Years later, I hear people worshipping them. I guess they made records. I have no idea.

Ha!
I think there's a whole new 'I saw them and they were horrible, next thing you know they are huge' thread in there.

I choose Julie Cafritz because that's just m e.

Oh come on, Cristina Martinez is...just...

...um...

...yeah.

She is more than ridiculously good-looking...she's a goddamn extraterrestrial, for christsakes. Someone that hot can't possibly be human.

More proof: Only an extraterrestrial would have married Jon Spencer...

Jennifer Herrema doesn't stand a fly's-ass-in-hell of a chance against her.

Julie Cafritz is cute and certainly aged better than Herrema, plus she never supported the shrub.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

I'm sure if you would've related the story here, we'd all remember. It's fascinating stuff. I mean, you ran sound in Minneapolis in the '80s. You probably even met a Replacement. Why haven't you written a book yet?

I only have "Pound for Pound" and "Accelerator" . I like both quite a bit, although it's been a long time since I last hear it. And I love the first track on the B side of "Pound..". This thread actually reminded me I wanted to check more of their stuff.

ZZ story is a bit odd, cause it's sounds like they know what they are doing on the records I have.

Anyway, NC.
