I'm going to call my new teddy Jesus and I'm prepared to go to jail for it.

I think what she did was daft, but I'm not sure the punishment fits the crime. Now, if she'd called it "Michael Jackson," I could understand it.

2Help: this is funny/sad/indicative of something. I just can't connect the dots.

I had this exact same thought about 35 minutes ago.

4They crucified Jesus for healing people and calling himself God.
Fourty lashes for giving a teddy bear a crap name sounds fair enough.

What would she got for naming it something like "George Bush?" A medal and the keys to the city?

6Once again, this story made me contemplate my stance as a passive Atheist verging on Agnostic. It's really, really hard at times not to point out that this is essentially like having someone deported for not showing due reverence to your Dungeons & Dragons game or Star Trek fan fiction.
It's hard to be the 'each to their own' guy all the time. I want people to follow their own faith but I am really sick of the horrible damage ridiculous religious dogma continues to cause. Honestly, I'd like to see all of the Semitic Religions die out. I wonder if this makes me a terrible person? Does anyone else get this feeling?

7Every time I wear a teddy, people call me "Jesus." They just keep pointing at me and saying, "Jesus!"

10hahahahaa
Those wacky Muslims, always up to something off the wall.
So let me get this straight.
This woman has been arrested because of the name she gave her Teddy Bear.
She had a Teddy Bear and the authorities got wind of the name she gave it and came and arrested her.
So, when's the stoning? Or will it be a hanging? Maybe they can decapitate her and dance around with the head.
How long does everyone have to sit and pretend that Muslims aren't out of their fucking minds?
I mean going apeshit over some stupid cartoons was bad enough, now they are fixated on what people are naming their toy bears.
Come on, seriously.
