The musicals thread reminded me of how much I liked this movie. If the big Central Park production number doesn't put a smile on your face...I don't know...maybe you just don't want to smile.

I liked it except for the inevitable ILM-style FX wankfest at the end. Just once couldn't they settle things with rock-paper-scissors or something?

Yeah, the ending blew. It's like they lost faith in the very movie they were making and decided they had to punch it up somehow.

For all the gratuitous "alternate endings" out there in DVD land, here's a film that could really benefit from one.
