I just responded to a 6 year old post concerning the guitar tone that Steve Jones and Johnny Thunders had. I wasn't sure if anyone would read post's that old. I was a roadie for Johnny Thunders. I too have been wanting to get that same tone. I remember that I plugged his guitar into a vintage Twin Reverb and then plugged that into a Marshall JMP Stack. No Pedals. I can't for the life of me remember how this is done. (which inputs, outputs, cords...etc)I am just a musician, not a technician or engineer..... I found this forum when I typed in "how to pre-amp a fender twin to a marshall head"With all of the new software, amp-modeling, application, digital, madness......No one seems to remember these old school tricks.Anybody got any advice?
