So tough to pick between the first 3. all 10/10 for me. Suicide Invoice for me. Probably because I love LAX so much. Wait, it's Audit in Progress because of the melody on Plenty for All. Maybe it's Automatic Midnight because it's so furious. Ahh..... need to think about this.

The only one I don't 100% love is Jericho Sirens, but it's still pretty damn good.

awww I'm a big fan of the pen and ink artwork. My CD copy of Automatic Midnight came in an orange jewel case, and that simple but effective bright/bland contrast really blew me away at the time.

So on that front Jericho Sirens I suppose?

(It's funny that the art made more of an impact on me than the music, which I mostly find to be just alright)

RANKED:

Suicide Invoice
Automatic Midnight
Jericho Sirens
Audit in Progress
100% concur with the choice of SI, and with this exact ranking.

I talk disjointed music-related guff over here. You're welcome.

The first time a friend played HS, I think I was 19 or 20 maybe, and I heard bar chords sliding around but the music didn't really grab me. Must've been around 1999/2000, so Automatic Midnight I guess. I'd was a big Drive Like Jehu fan but skipped RFTC. Hot Snakes didn't grab me until a few years later when they became one of my favourite bands. Based on how much I've listened to each album I'd probably rank in chronological order from Automatic Midnight to Jericho Sirens. I love those first three albums all though.
