Is Lex a ruiner of apples?

1
My girlfriend and love of my life Lex does not eat entire apples at once. She takes bites out of them and leaves them in the fridge.

She says that this keeps them fresh and that I can just cut off the nibbled bit. I have told her that she is wrong, and that if she keeps doing it then I shall post a pic here, outing her.

So, in the spirit of the great donut debate, I have created a poll. Is Lex simply preserving fruit as freshly as is possible, or did she just fuck up an apple?

That apple image will haunt me forever - a goddam travesty!
Apart from being the king/queen of fruits (nothing comes close to an apple), the golden rule of Apple consumption is you eat the whole thing in one hit. If not possible- then, yes - go the smaller apple, OR - cut in half and share the goodness

I'm sure that Lex is the loveliest person outside of browning apples and refrigerating cooties, lovely cooties mind you! Do y'all also keep yall's banana in bunches so that they brown easily? Do you put other foods uncovered in the fridge? How many crimes against food safety and aesthetics are being committed at yr hizzy?

I have no doubt that this woman possesses an uncountable number of mitigating qualities.

But... why in God's name would anyone do this?

I eat 'em whole, obviously. (Aside: This sounds like a slogan you'd see on the t-shirt worn by the bass player of a shitty '80s hair-metal band.)

But if she can't and wants to save some for later, why wouldn't she just slice the thing up w/a knife and put the pieces in a refrigerated container or something?

Ok, it might brown a little, but not nearly so unappealingly as this. And she wouldn't be able to bite the thing. But so what? Her current system makes little sense to me.
