10 years gone. Such an incredible body of work. I’d imagine for most people here the Berlin Period is the go to, but honestly I’ve found gold in every era, even Tin Machine (which I love other than the drummer singing tracks) and the 90s work which I listen to regularly.
A lot of musicians have been very forthcoming in saying Bowie was a great guy to work with. Evidently he even went back and compensated 70s band members who had worse terms at the time.
A few person flaws over the years during his drug fuelled hedonism.
All this said I can see why someone wouldn’t enjoy Bowie. There is an element of “surface over depth” that comes with the ever evolving sound, trend chasing rather than setting etc.
