Although I liked the band from around 1988-93 or so, I'm not remotely surprised by this as there have been rumours about him being creepy around certain women - including some underage ones - for some time now.

Very sad news indeed. Only 26 and all. I knew he left the band forhealth reasons but I didn't think it'd end like this. Fuck mental illness and the lack of readily available treatment for it.

Don't know how much - if any - love for reggae there is on this forum, but I always thought "Vietnam" and "Wonderful World, Beautiful People" were classic singles.

Me neither, and nor did I care for Sabbath without him. But indeed - those first six albums are iconic (I hate using that word, but still...) and even "Never Say Die" had a great title track.

Sad day indeed. I knew he'd been in poor health for some time, but those early RFTT and Pere Ubu albums were benchmark texts for me.

Definitely N/C despite their live shows - of which I saw seven - being a tad hit and miss, to say the least.

Sadly I suspect that Due to Dan Treacy's ongoing health issues we may never hear from him again. music-wise (much like Tim Smith, God rest his soul).
