Tribute bands aren't all bad.

I saw an AC/DC tribute band a few years ago that were probably about as close as you could get to the real thing. The doods had just about everything down, but then how hard is it to be an AC/DC cover band?

Seriously didnt everyone in Big Black hate being compared or even associated with Husker Du?

At any rate Big Black's legacy should not be tainted by cover bands.
And if you want to be hated by large sums of people then just start a NON cover band.
