Is there much of a market for a Big Black tribute band?

Funny, Ha Ha, dice, D&D, Rush... This is some weak fun making. It's the same shit you guys say about zeppelin and Tull. At lease Rush are Canadian and don't sing about fairies and goblins...

anyway, I've always wanted to to an album of 80's Rush tunes in minimalist, repetitious, experimental style ala Windsor For the Derby or Labradford...

Big Black Tribute band... might be fun for the folks playing.

Really, it's more weak songwriting.

It's funny 'cause it's true!

Do they not sing about faeries and goblins? Am I thinking about a different Rush? One that doesn't have a song called "Rivendell" or whatever? One that isn't one of the worst bands ever?

Don't get me wrong. I don't think I'm above reproach or anything; I've repeatedly admitted to liking Kiss, for god's sake.

This, I would listen to.

Or would I be better-off doubling-up and doing a Big Black/Husker Du tribute band?

Wait a minute am I the only one who finds this statement hilarious?
Seriously didnt everyone in Big Black hate being compared or even associated with Husker Du?

At any rate Big Black's legacy should not be tainted by cover bands.
And if you want to be hated by large sums of people then just start a NON cover band.

I do play my own music, this would just be for kicks.

I only mention the Huskers because they are another band I love who's songs I already can play...

Doude, "Rivendell" is about Hobbits and elves... it's a place where the "Dark Lord" cannot go... get it right or pay the price, Ok?

...and I just rolled a 19 on my d20 so unless you have magic armor or an AC of less than 2 we need to roll for damage. That's d8+1 for my magic bastard sword. BITCH!
