Yeah...that is actually probably the right call, I was hoping not to spend so much $$$, but the Strymon stuff holds its resale value pretty good if it doesnt work out.

Keeley does a great chorus pedal that has an ADT option - Seafoam Plus Chorus - which I can highly recommend, though it is pricy. They also do a 30ms Automatic Double Tracker that I've heard nothing but good things about but not actually tried myself.

If you're trying to get in the area of what Geordie's doing, you can get there on a budget using a very powerful overdrive pedal, MXR Analog Chorus, and an MXR Carbon Copy or Electro Harmonix Memory Man.
