The season is okay. The abundant use of music and montages gets a bit irritating.
So it's still trying to coast on "vibes" instead of good writing?
Basically, yeah. We still binged most of it in one sitting.
There's barely a story anymore but sometimes you're rewarded with Chicago deep cuts like hey, there's Alpana Singh.

The dipshit duo/trio? has thankfully toned it down this season.

Yeah, they rarely bother to write any kind of drama.

Also the way they write Jon Bernthal's character makes me think he's intellectually disabled. He and the more tattooed dipshit, although I don't mind the dipshit duo.

In terms of "things that I fucking love", Hollywood misses the mark to the exact same degree with food and music. To me, this show is the equivalent of when friends of mine insist that Charli XCX and Chappell Roan are actually geniuses and worth my time. Then I check it out and want to gouge my fucking eyeballs/earholes out. Celebrity/"rockstar" chefs and the food network have destroyed any sympathy I once had for people who choose that grueling industry. The worst part is that I'm immediately suspicious of 99% of restaurant recommendations, even from friends.

Anyway, Crap, but I'm not voting. Fuck Yelp.

OMG yes. Most recommendations are for new "hot" places featured in Eater or Infatuation or some other list-compiling publication, or tik-tok. The next time we talk/see each other they ask "did you go there?" and I go, "oh, no I didn't" and they look disappointed.

Just give me street tacos or the occasional smash burger, washed down by a lager, hefeweizen, or lambrusco.

I'm just tired of food as entertainment, I guess.

We’re about to start. A bit of a “last chance”, as season three was so meh I can’t remember what happened.
