I'll drink coffee out of a fish bowl if there's nothing else, but I definitely have a preference for the above.
I have this random mug from some random IT-firm. It's white, it has some vague orange logo and it's big enough and it brings me joy when I drink coffee out of it.
I also have a white "World's greatest dad" -mug with my face on it, but I don't always feel like a great dad, so I can't use it all the time.
Anyone who tells you they're always a Great Dad is a psychopath and will have a kid who grows up to be in Royal Trux or Unsane.

Someone recently told me that it's not up to you to determine if you are a great parent. Your kids make that call.
That is true, but you can only really trust your kids evaluation after they've gone to years of therapy, as I recently found out. We tend to think of our parents as great, because a) we don't know any better and b) we have to, in order to keep sane.
And, of course our parents tried their best, most likely, even if their best wasn't that good. And we still love them, maybe, probably, after all our therapy. Sorry, got wee bit dark.

DFTR, I miss hearing your voice on Crash and Ride. Good thing there is all the episodes.

My little details: went to see a new rehearsal space because there was a large-ish stabbing spree in front of our current space. And it's the second time in fairly recent history.
I also succesfully wired my bass, finally. I'm chuffed. I also learned I can't play fast d-beat stuff on bass.

I feel you. I have a couple of plain white 10oz mugs with perfect handles and a perfectly shaped lip. My wife took them from Google when she worked there, I think.

The shape of the handle is of utmost importance to me. My wife does ceramics and will ask me about mug handles and man there are sooo many otherwise nice handmade ceramic mugs with terrible handles. You know the ones where the handle doesn't go high enough on the mug, and you're more likely to crack a tooth. You've all seen them. Or the ones on which the handle is too fat for the mug, or you can only get one finger into it. I need room for two fingers, minimum. I like stability with a hot beverage.

I have to represent for pyrex mugs here. We got a bunch from the dollar store years ago, and there's a pleasure in seeing it in the cup, sun shining through it... Also no slightly-salty taste of the coffee leaching metals off the cheap glaze, which I'd experienced with a few companies' "here's your cheap company-branded coffee mug" mugs.

Hot in Portland today. I had to drive across town earlier, and drove over what must have been a very-recently deceased skunk that I didn't recognize as such until my full-blast A/C had sucked a significant amount of its musk into my car. I rolled the windows down and left them down when I got where I was going, but when I got back in for the trip home I could smell it ten feet away. Car wash and activated charcoal treatment for the interior is in my future, I guess.

What type of mug is it? It would be a shame if you knew someone who sold promo products and can get you a few samples.... a damn shame.

Ha, I have certainly considered contacting you about it! Not sure, but I'm gonna guess it was a Libbey 13oz.

Libby is a retail brand. You should be able to find a store that carries them.

Probably maybe consider replacing the cabin air filter, too. In Toyotas & Subarus they're behind the glove box. Should be about $25 at whatever auto parts store.
