If you recruit a loner kid with no prospects, tell him to take some potshots around the guy running for office, and it will make the guy be in charge just like they did in Germany in the 30s, maybe he does that. The candidate tells him he will be a big hero, protected, nothing will. And what the mark doesn't reckon on is actually getting killed by secret service.

I don’t think it’s a stretch of the imagination to say Trump has fans in the secret service. Remember when the secret service did a device/software upgrade shortly after Jan 6 and lost all their messages from that day? That’s pretty hard to take at face value
How would they keep the kid’s silence, assuming the plan wasn’t always to kill him? Money, isolated locations, fear, intimidation, threats—all these things would work towards keeping him silent
