They kept a more reasonable following distance in The Road Warrior.
Although, tell that to this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oo5vMlulCs, who must have spent some time in hospital after this stunt, right?

Beware of loop 220 when you’re in Jackson. There’s always something in the middle of the road. Tools, furniture, mufflers, etc. We hit a stray tire jack last year and it was an instant flat. Mechanics along 220 must do a brisk business.

You are not joking Dave. There was so much crap on the freeway that my gps was warning me about all the crap on the freeway!

I just did that with a community cat, the only one left after two were hit by cars in the last six months. He has been much friendlier now that he's the only one around, and coming in the house for 5-10 minutes at a time. Turns out he's 8-9 and has bad teeth. They want $2K for the mouth work. I'm hitting up a non-profit vet and look into it, but I'm not handing over two grand for a community cat.

My one-and-a-half year old daughter has a peanut and sesame allergy. However, she had to take a challenge today to test if we can go forward safely with oral therapy, and it turns out she's no longer allergic to either. This is a rare occurrence. Twenty percent of children can grow out of these allergies, but generally it happens within 5-10 years. It's crazy that it's been about a year since her diagnosis and now it's gone.

That's good news, especially considering how diligent families have to be with young ones with allergies.

Found out yesterday that my work as a writer-director will apparently have its Spanish premier in Palma de Mallorca at the end of next week. A movie of mine from 2010 got chosen. But I don't have a flyer from the film festival yet to post on my blog. And yesterday I was too busy feeling the effects of hip pain to bother telling anyone but family. All of my friends are busy/overworked/probably dealing with some form of burnout/depression/political malaise anyhow. Woo, America--the BEST!!

Definitely feels weird to be aging and making/exhibiting art in this climate.
