I had one of these. The little kickstand is pretty cool. Sounds fine, but the real kicker was, yea, you could take it anywhere. 24 big fuck off frets!TylerDeadPine wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 8:27 pm Steinberger Spirit.
Spouse looking at being back in the hospital for a long time - want a small guitar we can keep in “hospital stuff”, wipe down without finish worry, as clean a guitar can be while still being playable and “real”.

1782haha I was in a punk band with a guy who insisted on using one live, it sounded bad and he looked like a goon but he brought it everywhere and got much, much better than us.GuyLaCroix wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 11:15 pmI had one of these. 1783I definitely leaned into the shred nerd stuff and learned a bunch of chiptunes to noodle on. Contra soundtrack needs 2 octaves.TylerDeadPine wrote: Sat Dec 20, 2025 8:56 amhaha I was in a punk band with a guy who insisted on using one live, it sounded bad and he looked like a goon but he brought it everywhere and got much, much better than us.GuyLaCroix wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 11:15 pmI had one of these. It was fun to have a guitar that really pulled me out of the normal things I wanted to do, I don't really have a lot of opportunities for that sort of nonsense, nor would I indulge in it left to my own devices. Was never good enough that I'd try it in front of people, but it was a nice perk into how the Pros approach guitar.
Salud! Enjoy!

1784This one arrived with a 3-prong plug with the ground plugged ripped out - bad sign. Turned it on, gave it a bit to warm up and of course its got a 60-cycle ground hum going. Not as loud as your voice when you’re talking into it but totally unacceptable - I’d like to understand how it was missed at the Music Go Round it came from, but not my problem, really. Tried different cables and such, no luck.llllllllllllllllllll wrote: Tue Dec 16, 2025 11:24 am Since the Sony wasn’t happening I lowballed an offer for a at4060 and it was accepted this morning.
Anyways, between the broken AT4060 and the misdelivered Sony C38B, I’m taking this as a sign. No more mics for a while!
I will be very happy when I have a pair of either, though.
Will now take advantage of the working AT4060 I already own that I pulled out to compare the new one to.
Re: What are you buying, What's on its way?
1785Used EAE Halberd on the way. I really need to whittle down my dirt pedal collection after trying this one out, it's getting a bit ridiculous.

1786Keeley Eccos
This is my second delay pedal in just a few months. I require stereo ping ponging action and my trial of the Strymon Brig revealed a nice sounding pedal that just doesn't do my stereo thing correctly.
Keeley demos look cool.

1787got some gift certificates and getting one of those Tama "fashion" hardware bags for minimal hardware setups and also a padded bag for mic stands.
Buying shit like this is boring and not much fun but the optimization part of it is kinda fun I guess.

178870's Traynor 2x15 I don't need like at all.
OOPS!
Sealed, so hoping to hear something different to the front ported thing I've had forever.
Only two blocks away and dirt cheap how could I resist...

1790Going to start by wiring it in parallel to work with what I got before I go shopping. Maybe some of those Made For Traynor Eminence 15s will pop on the cheap. The one I have now does the thing... No Kappalite $$$ up here.
