You think owning Greenland is going to be strategically advantageous over having alliances in Europe? We'd have to defend Greenland from constant assault. We may spend more than any other country on war, but we still lose wars, you know. And we have our own problems at home, that we are unable to deal with. We're about to be isolated from the rest of the world. That doesn't seem like a wonderful future regarding the security of America. Everyone will be moving towards China, and we will become another failed empire in the dustheap of history.

i think there is a way to do this with NATO. sure. it's possible.

Anyway, engaging is good. I was on another forum for leisure activity that was unfortunately shut down, when Trump was elected a second time, because most of the posting was political in nature. Anyway, while it was around there was a guy who became a flat-earther during COVID. He could not understand why he could see the Channel Islands from Santa Barbara. He went down a deep rabbit hole about airplane navigation and how it was impossible if Earth was a sphere. A couple of other guys and myself (while most everyone just made fun of him) spent months trying to convince him Earth was a sphere. At some point he started coming around, but then they kicked him off the forum. I liked our interactions.

This guy, yeah, not ansering the question, moving goalposts. I'm done. Still not going to ignore, just won't engage.
