Could the US take Greenland by force? Of course, we could try. Let's say we do take it. Now what do we do with it? This what is called a Pyrrhic victory. You won the battle, yay! Long term, you lose, because you're in a worse position than when you started. Again, not having allies in a hostile world that Trump created isn't a long-term strategy for security. People take this for granted, because they've lived a life of privilege in the safety of their small town, buying shit from Amazon and watching Netflix. Wait until those things are gone, you will realize how much was taken for granted. We have had relative peace because of our alliances, not in spite of them. MAGA is going to learn a hard truth one way or another, and we're all going to suffer from it. White nationalism and techno feudalism is what is in our future, and neither of those things benefits the many, only the few. Those are not long-term strategies for a mutually beneficial future for 340m people. Eventually we'd have civil war, on top of a foreign war. We don't have enough military to quash a civilian uprising. Imagine having to fight a war abroad and at home at the same time and thinking something like Greenland was worth it all.
