Of course you would think it's unbecoming. That's not shade, mind you, just reality.
Why did you come in so hot?
Thought I'd give you another chance to respond since you've responded to nearly everyone else while I'm left on read. Like, is it punk? You posted "fuck this grifter," disputed his legacy with MLK Jr something like hours after his death, and I'm just curious about your mindset when you read in this thread that he died. What made it so arousing that you decided to act the way you did?
Oh sorry, I think I apologized upthread that I was being a dick, speaking ill of the dead and all that, and also conceding that his role as an agitator, figurehead and symbol for good intentions might still have held value. I'm sure it was only that he'd been out of the news for a long time and then I fondly recollected how much I disliked him, so I was excited to rag on an old local favorite. If you poke around, I think you'll find that is not atypical for my outbursts. Ultimately I found him to be insincere, which is something I find near impossible to forgive, and makes me even more condescending.
For reference, my girlfriend had to hold me back from physically accosting Daley on the street while he was still in office. I think I had just gotten a parking ticket, or been unduly harassed by the CPD, so I was hot under the collar for some dumb reason when I saw him picking up lunch in Lincoln Park. It's a good thing she did because his goons would have made short work of me.
